Donations are needed for our Holiday Fund Drive and General Operating Fund

The Holiday 2012 Fund helps allay the costs of veterinary bills including spay/neuter procedures, vaccinations, medication, other surgery, specialists, and emergency veterinary care. We rely on your donations to help the neediest of animals such as Blackbeard, an "invisible" feral cat living in the shadows of a neighborhood,  and Dandelion, a pit bull puppy with a horrible skin condition dumped at a kill shelter in a county that has banned her breed. The General Operating Fund covers our monthly expenses such as dog and cat food, kitty litter, store rental, utilities, kennel staff salaries, advertising, and ongoing repairs to the shelter facilities. FOHA is in a unique position amongst most rescues since we own a large facility in Loudoun County which includes 40 acres, 2 communal catteries, 3 kennel buildings which house 100 dogs, an office building, and a vitally needed Welcome Center, which is a renovation to a log house on the property.

Sponsor-A-Pet

Sponsor a FOHA animal by honoring or remembering a pet or pet friendly person, and your message will appear within the animal's biography. You can start the online, automated process here. Sponsorships are available in one month, three month, nine month and one year increments . If you would prefer a hard copy sponsorship form and to mail in a check, please email Laura Dove at President@FOHA.org.
