THANK YOU TO THE MEMBERS OF JUNIOR GIRL SCOUT TROOP 5958 OF ASHBURN

Thank you to the members of Junior Girl Scout Troop 5958 of Ashburn, who have placed a display advertising FOHA in the Ashburn public library for the month of June.  As you can see from the photo, the display is really creative and beautiful, and has the pictures and bios of some of our favorite residents, including Boone and Thumper!  Thank you Troop 5958, from all the furry FOHA family, patiently waiting for their Forever Home - your efforts will surely help to shorten that wait for many!

 Thumper and Boone Want Homes!

In order to help promote our residents who have been overlooked far too long, FOHA's volunteers have chosen Thumper and Boone to be the focus of our next adoption campaign, and we need your help!  If you cannot adopt Thumper or Boone, please spread the word about this captivating canine and fabulous feline.

Thumper is a friendly and playful Pit Bull mix who is a goofball and a snuggle-bug!

Boone is a cute white and black kitty who enjoys watching birds from the cattery, and snuggling with the volunteers and other cats.

If you would like to make Thumper a member of your family, please contact us at 540-882-9377 or e-mail doginfo@foha.org.

If you would like to make Boone a member of your family, please contact us at 703-385-0224 or e-mail adoptacat@foha.org

   Spay and Neuter Program

Until all pet owners have the ability to spay and neuter their pets, the homeless animal problem will continue to persist.  FOHA would like to someday envision the perfect world in which there are no homeless, abused, or unwanted animals.  To that end, FOHA has established a spay and neuter outreach fund aimed at helping others to spay and neuter their pets and animals which they have rescued.

In past years, FOHA was the the recipient of grant money to be used for spaying and neutering of dogs and cats within our community, including feral colonies.  Unfortunately, that grant funding is no longer available.

Continued donations are needed in order to continue our outreach efforts.  Therefore, we’re looking to our generous donors to help us help even more cats and dogs – ones that aren’t homeless but who, without spay/neuter surgery, may give birth to the next generation of homeless puppies and kitties.  For information about donating to the spay/neuter fund, please <click here>.

FOHA is focusing fund monies to be used for spaying and neutering cats or dogs for low income families in our community and for individual rescuers.  These funds will be available to partially pay for spaying and neutering cats or dogs for low income families in our community.  Family income must be below $50,000 a year to qualify.  Individual rescuers may also be asked to meet need-based criteria.  Assistance is based upon availability of funds.

Applicants that qualify and would like more information on utilizing this fund should contact FOHA at <click here>.
